01Summary
Trading foreign exchange (forex), gold (XAUUSD), indices, cryptocurrencies and contracts for difference (CFDs) on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of the money you deposit, and losses can occur quickly.
Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Crimson Algo provides education and tools — not financial advice.
02Leverage and market risk
- Leverage magnifies results. A small price movement can produce a large loss relative to your deposit. Margin calls and stop-outs can close your positions automatically at a loss.
- Volatility and gaps. Prices can move sharply around economic releases, central bank decisions, geopolitical events and market open. Prices may gap past your stop-loss, so your loss can exceed what you planned.
- Liquidity and execution. Spreads can widen, orders can be filled at worse prices (slippage), and platforms can become unavailable.
- Costs. Spreads, commissions, swap/overnight fees and currency conversion reduce returns.
- Over-the-counter products. CFDs are not traded on a regulated exchange; your counterparty is your broker.
03Past performance, signals and illustrative data
- Past performance, backtests and historical results — including results shown for our indicators, signals or community members — are not a reliable indicator of future results.
- Signals, indicator readings and market commentary are produced from technical rules and analysis that can be wrong. They do not account for your personal circumstances and may arrive late or not at all.
- Charts, review examples, journal previews and figures on our website are frequently illustrative and do not represent real accounts or achieved returns.
- Market data and prices displayed in the Services (for example the TradingView ticker, historical prices and economic calendar data) come from third parties, may be delayed or inaccurate, and may differ from your broker’s prices.
- The Risk Calculator and other tools give estimates based on the inputs and assumptions you provide. Check every result against your broker’s contract specifications before trading.
